TEAM INFORMATION

 

Communications: We will be communicating mainly through email or the TeamSnap® mobile app.

 

Registration: All players must be registered with SAM in order to play in the SAM Select League. Please click here to obtain registration information from SAM.

 

Player Cards: All SAM Select players must be carded by the MD Soccer Foundation.

Practices and Games:  Please arrive at least 30 minutes before game time for warm-ups, check-in and final line adjustments. Please notify us if you will not be at a practice or game so we can plan accordingly! There is a link on our Team Page or SAM’s website to view the game schedule.

 

Uniforms: Each player will need to purchase a home and away jersey, shorts and socks. Uniforms can be purchased online or in person through Rockville Soccer Supplies, 837-F Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852.

Equipment (games and practices):

 

  • NO EARRINGS, Jewelry or casts may be worn during games and practices.

  • Shin guards: Players must wear shin guards at all times.

  • Cleats or sneakers: No toe cleats are allowed (single cleat on toe, found on baseball cleats), use soccer cleats or general purpose cleats without a toe cleat.

  • Balls: Please bring a #4 (#5 for U13 and above) ball to practice.

  • Players should bring water to practices and games.

  • Bug spray: It is advisable to wear bug spray to practices and games.

 

Tryouts

Tryouts will be held at various times during the spring and fall seasons - Registration is Open! 

Schedule changes due to weather cancellations will be posted by 8:00 am the day of the tryouts.
